Women in STEM 2019

Thu, Mar 07 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm

As part of the 11th Annual San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, held March 2-10, with more than 60 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) related events throughout San Diego County, the Biocom Institute is hosting an event geared for middle- and high school-aged girls to celebrate Women in STEM.

Join us to celebrate Women In STEM. This event will provide a space for young women to celebrate and exhibit their own achievements and learnings in STEM and to be inspired by a host of women who have moved the needle in STEM. The event will kick off with an interactive exhibition hour where STEM organizations can showcase their work in STEM alongside high school, middle school, and college-aged students. From there, attendees will be treated to a series of STEM Sessions from featuring women in STEM. From a Director of Research & Development at an innovative medical technology company to an Air Force Lieutenant who is working with a team building a system for a nationally important outer space program, this event is designed to celebrate the achievements of women in STEM and inspire future generations of women pursuing STEM. The first hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m. will be open for registration and hands-on activities. The speaking portion of the evening will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., followed by Q&A and networking

*Attendees - please be advised that this event will be taped for live video streaming.
