Making genomics accessible is key to unlocking its potential to save and improve lives. Illumina is committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists, innovators, and trailblazers, empowering young learners to envision themselves at the forefront of scientific discovery.

We will be have a booth with three different stations with interactive activities at each station.

We plan to have some signage on the booth to show what NXP does. We will have 1-2 setups for student interaction. We will have an additional interactive activity related to code breaking that students can work on and take hom.

The Water Authority will provide interactive, engaging water education information and activities for kids and families (more info TBD).

With Live Well San Diego

We will have a collection of samples of the mosquito lifecycle to be viewed by microscope or magnifying glasses in order to learn about where mosquitoes come from. We typically try to bring some live samples when they are available. We have a mock back backyard setup to provide examples of places that can hold water and breed mosquitoes. This interactive display helps people understand how to prevent mosquitoes and bites and stay protected from diseases.
