Think Blue San Diego

the think blue booth will contain two 6-7 ft tables (if these can be provided by event coordinator that would be ideal) featuring a variety of giveaways exchanged for participation in a survey/questionnaire. there will also be banners illustrating the storm drain system and an interactive watershed model.

High Tech High Chula Vista

This booth will focus on ways to extend the core day curriculum by engaging students in learning about identification, behavior, and maintenance of fish species as well as reptiles and amphibians. Students will share about opportunities to participate in feedings, hands-on lab maintenance and set up tanks, and will explain the process of receiving training necessary to earn a pet shop certification. They will also share opportunities to network with scientists and members of the pet industry.

Reptiles are often misunderstood and maligned creatures. We share amazing connections with them from ancient times to modern medicine. Come by and meet a few of the superstar celebrities from EcoVivarium Living Museum. Join us to explore their world, understand the challenges they face and what can you do to help them survive.

Scintillon Institute

Focusing on the phenomenon of fluorescence with fun interactive fluorescent materials for STEAMers to engage and play with, including silly putty, kinetic sand, magnetic sand, bracelets, highliters, and crayons, the Shaner lab at Scintillon Institute truly hopes to inspire the next generation of researchers by making the connection that something fun as fluorescence can have a huge impact on how we come to understand the biology of our planet and ourselves.

Ms. Smarty-Plants™ from The Water Conservation Garden takes families on a fun and interactive journey to learn how to conserve our most precious resource, Water! Using a special mixture of music, magic, and fun Ms. Smarty-Plants™ ignites the EARTH HERO in each of us! Together “We can change the world with our own two hands.”

National Marine Mammal Foundation

As part of our commitment to education, the National Marine Mammal Foundation participates in outreach efforts at local San Diego schools and public events. By educating children and the community about our exciting marine mammal discoveries, we hope to inspire future generations for years to come. Science education is incredibly important, and we hope to do our part by exposing students to the unique and rewarding work that we do with the animals.

Solana Beach School District-STREAM

We will have students(K-6) showcasing their projects that they have completed in our STREAM program. This students are passionate about their work and look forward to sharing their projects showcasing their solutions to real-world issues to a public audience. Our booth will also include an engineering challenge that the students will help guide attendance through. We have participated in this event for the last 3 year and are excited to be back!
