We will have a couple of hands-on activities, possibly including making play dough (for kids to begin to think in 3D and mold easy objects); 3D pen creations; fused bead projects, other ideas in the works. Booth visitors will learn about Clicbitz's UCSD Extended Studies college-credit approved courses for middle- and high-school students. **HeartHug** is a celebration of the embrace, it is a visualisation of a hug between two or more people, broadcasted for all to see. When two or more spectators hug beneath the sculpture, the heart lights up with a full spectre (rainbow). If one or more people stands without a hug, only half of HeartHug shines with just one random colour of spectre.

Our booth activity will be the first lesson in our STEAM curriculum. In this lesson, students will build a bmx bike, and receive three NGSS STEM codes, and two math standards.

Don't miss the ABC 10News Experience, a hands-on opportunity for kids to see how television news is created and what it is like to be a reporter or anchor. Learn how graphics are made, try your hand reading scripts, see being on camera comes together in a news story, weather report or breaking news. Meet some of the ABC 10News Anchors, Reporters and Meteorologists who do this every day!

We will have an interactive activity around origami to introduce families to the intersection of STEAM and paper folding, and we will also be bringing our floor loom which anyone can use to learn how to weave! We do what we call 'wabi sabi' weaving which means beauty in imperfection- it is a very fun and engaging activity and we have all of the supplies.

Magnolia Science Academy is a California Distinguished School. MSA is a public, charter STEAM focused middle school serving San Diego since 2005. Our student ambassadors and teachers will be engaging guests through several hands-on, interactive science experiments/activities such as elephant toothpaste, biome diorama, chemical reaction experiments and molecule sticks. In addition to hands-on science activities, we will also provide our guests with cool, interactive art and math activities.

The Herpetology Hop- Audience will act as Herpetologist as they circulate through our interactive installation where they will identify a set of reptiles/amphibians indigenous to San Diego. Our installation will be composed of painted murals, not live animals.

The Sally Ride Science Academy offers fascinating and fun STEAM workshops for students entering grades 3 through 12.
