As part of the 11th Annual San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering, held March 2-10, with more than 60 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) related events throughout San Diego County, the Biocom Institute is hosting an event geared for middle- and high school-aged girls to celebrate Women in STEM.

San Diego Miramar College will host morning of FREE, FUN SCIENCE on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12pm for kids from 5 to 99 at its Mira Mesa Campus (10440 Black Mountain Road). The Miramar College science faculty, staff and students will present a variety “hands on” activities in all areas of Math and Science: Biology, Chemistry, Math, Physiology, Microbiology . All ages are welcome to enjoy this free event with free parking on campus! This event is part of the San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering taking place around San Diego County from March 2nd-10th, 2019.

The Center for Ethics in Science & Technology provides community forums to promote science that benefits everyone. Join us on March 6, 2019 with guest lecturer, Stefan Savage, Ph.D., Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Professor Savage will discuss ethics issues in cypersecurity research.
