The individual or group activity “Evolution Quest: From Cell to Species” is a fun, multi-stage mental and physical exercise: participants create an animal cell using fun props; applying molecular biology concepts learned in real-time, they generate DNA, assemble amino-acids, and make a peptide; using a genetic sequence comparison, they finally decide which species the structure belongs to. Besides knowledge, the award includes a Boz lab souvenir delivered by lab’s lab (certified service dog).

Ms. Smarty-Plants™ Cools the Climate explores the water cycle, climate change, uncovers the “global weirding” phenomena, and inspires students to conserve San Diego’s most valuable resource: WATER! She takes families on a fun and interactive journey about science using a special mixture of music, magic, and fun. Ms. Smarty-Plants™ ignites the EARTH HERO in each of us!

Children will be able to interact with our real, industry sized robot! They will be able to place cones and cubes anywhere they would like to, and the robot will pick them up and place them elsewhere!

Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair
The Student Leadership Board of the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair is planning simple, safe, hands-on science activities to engage students in grades K-12. They will also coordinate a "crowd source" activity, where the more participants, the more accurate the data. Each participant will provide a data point for the activity.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Our booth will consist of a few stations. One station the guests will build replica lungs in a cup using plastic cups and balloons to understand the effects of Cystic Fibrosis in the lungs. To help make this point we will also have a mini lung display hooked up to a computer monitor. At another station guests will make slime.
American Physical Therapy Association
Interactive activities at our booth will include life size, anatomically correct puzzles of the human skeletal and muscular systems for attendees to put together.
Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc.
Booth representing Neurocrine with 20-30 staff as volunteers throughout the day. Will have activities and experiments for the kids, plus giveaways. Will also have staff on hand to answer questions about Neurocrine.
